lost dog molly3Sad news everyone: Molly, the Upper West Side dog who got spooked and ran away from her owners last week, was hit and killed by a vehicle on the West Side Highway. Marco, the owner, said he saw her body on Tuesday around 112th street while searching.

“She died,” he said in a phone call. “She was an amazing dog, she was an amazing dog. We were hoping to the last day.” Several locals had organized search parties to look for Molly, and Kevin Bacon had even sent her picture out to his followers on Facebook and Twitter.
