The phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge, where the sun lines up perfectly with the Manhattan street grid, is starting tonight.       millienia from now, when future humans (or aliens) are trying to divine the meaning behind Manhattan’s ruins, does this mean that they’ll conclude it was all an elaborate sundial / calendar?

      I didn’t realize that you could get that good a shot on 72nd Street! I was going to go all the way to 57th and Broadway, which is a bit out of the way for me, but perhaps I don’t need to?
