NEW ‘STREET ART’ SHOW AT ST. AGNES LIBRARY

Longtime Upper West Side artist Ner Beck will showcase his photos of the neighborhood and of the streets in Prague at St. Agnes Library (444 Amsterdam Ave. (between 81st & 82nd St.)) through January 31. The shots contrast window reflections in the two cities.

He tells us:

“My fascination with window reflections has been that as you pass these glass canvases the reflections from the opposite side of the street are constantly affecting, shifting and recomposing the images on the window you are viewing. Found faces discovered in inanimate objects has become my other daily obsession. With all my work I have always found city streets to be an ever-changing art show that is being rearranged or repainted daily by the people of these cities.”

The library’s hours: Mon. & Wed. 11-6, Tues. 11-7, Thurs. 12 -7, Fri. & Sat. 10-5
