A fire broke out on the 10th floor of the New York Institute of Technology at 1855 Broadway at 61st Street on Sunday night, drawing a very large response from the FDNY.
The fire was called in at 10:33 p.m. One person was seriously injured, though expected to survive, according to an FDNY spokesman. The fire was under control as of 11:28 p.m. There were 106 firefighters at the scene.
