Beloved La Guardia High School English teacher Karyn Kay was killed on Wednesday, and her son was charged with her murder. (NY1)
A report from rental marketing service Rentjuice says average Upper West Side asking rents came down about 7% in the first quarter. Consider us hopeful but skeptical: the survey takes an average of the rents listed in the neighborhood, which means that more expensive apartments could presumably skew the results (although rents were also down 3% on a per-square-foot basis, according to the report). More first quarter rental reports should be out soon, and we’ll see if they tell the same story. (Curbed)
Police are looking for a woman in her 30s, (about 5-foot-5 and 125-130 pounds) who is wanted for impersonating a police officer and then robbing another woman outside a Chase bank on 73rd Street. (DNAinfo)
