West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) is entering their busiest time of year with the need growing by the day. For example, in the month of August, their 86th Street distribution facility provided assistance to more than 6,700 households, marking a staggering 57% increase compared to the same period last year, and 144% more than during the height of the pandemic.

Because this need is expected to continue through the fall, WSCAH is looking for your help! Volunteers are vital at WSCAH to serve their customers with dignity. This November, WSCAH needs more volunteers to unload, pack, and distribute food to customers.
You can see all additional November volunteer shifts at newyorkcares.org. Shifts are added as needed throughout the month, so be sure to check back for more opportunities.
If you are interested in learning more about any of these volunteer opportunities please email volunteer@wscah.org.
Volunteer at WSCAH this November and help them to provide a healthy holiday meal to hundreds of thousands of hungry New Yorkers!
