Help WSCAH Feed Families in Need This Holiday Season

Steven Yee, WSCAH’s Volunteer and Development Coordinator, distributing turkeys

West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), one of the largest emergency food providers in New York City, is once again hosting its annual Turkey Challenge. This year throughout the month of November, WSCAH has set an ambitious goal to distribute turkeys and all the fixings for special holiday meals to 10,000 families.

Last year Lori, a WSCAH customer, said that she was excited to host Thanksgiving for the first time at her apartment since the pandemic and make a delicious meal with the food she received from WSCAH. Lori expressed her gratitude saying, “Thank you so much for helping us when we need it most.”

Hunger does not stop for the holidays, and with food prices remaining at an all-time high, WSCAH and its customers need your help. Support WSCAH’s Turkey Challenge so that 10,000 New Yorkers will be able to share holiday meals with their families. A donation of just $50 ensures that one family will be able to break bread together during the holidays.

Where can we find WSCAH’s criteria for eligibility for food distribution?
Shouldn’t that be a consideration that a donor can take into account?
