Thanksgiving is around the corner, and it’s time for us to get a little sappy and show our gratitude for you, New York!
It’s been seven months since Well-Paid Maids came to New York City, and so far, we’ve done over 220 cleans, and we’ve met some great folks!
Thanks to your support, we’re able to prove our living-wage business model works. We pay our cleaners, who are employees and not contractors, a starting wage of $26 an hour. For context, the median hourly wage for maids and housekeeping cleaners in New York is $16.03, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Plus, they get 24 paid days off per year and are offered health, dental, vision and life insurance. We also provide company-paid Unlimited Ride MetroCards.
We couldn’t do this without your support, so thank you!
If you’re looking to get your home cleaned before the holidays, go ahead and book your cleaning online. We can’t wait to meet you!
Hi West Side Rag readers! Well-Paid Maids here. Let us know if you have any questions down here in the comments. Thanks!
You sound like an asset to the neighborhood in many ways. Could you post a range of fees for your services? i.e. “per room” or “per x br apt”? or “just kitchen” or ???
