Volunteers 65+ are needed to share wisdom and friendship with local high school and middle school students looking for intergenerational connections during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We offer multiple opportunities to connect via phone and Zoom with students, in small and large group settings.
Volunteers can:
- Virtually visit a middle school classroom for fun, engaging games, discussions, and art activities.
Join DOROT‘s teen interns in teen-led discussion groups, book clubs, or collaborative art activities. - Sign up for a weekly chess match, led by a chess master from Chess NYC.
- Take part in regular friendly phone or video-chat visits with individual or pairs of teens and tweens.
Join us! Programs begin in February and run through May.
