Hungry people continue to come through the doors at Rutgers Church at 236 West 73rd Street, and a small remaining crew of volunteers has been serving them bagged meals every Thursday. The number of people coming for food has dropped slightly — to about 60 from 72. They’re asking for donations, which can be given here.
Another place you can help out is West Side Campaign Against Hunger, which runs a food pantry on 86th Street.
