One man stabbed another on Tuesday night around 6:30 in front of 203 West 81st Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
The two men involved are locals and knew each other, according to Deputy Inspector Timothy Malin of the 20th precinct, though he did not describe what led to the attack. In an email on Tuesday night, Malin credited witnesses with helping catch the perpetrator.
“The perpetrator fled the scene, but due to some excellent witnesses who pointed the responding officers in the right direction, he was apprehended without incident.
The victim remains in critical, yet stable condition, so detectives have not been able to talk to him.
Since we are still investigating to discover the motive and more details, this is as much as I can say at this time.”
Correction: we initially got the avenues wrong.
I walked by the crime scene and was wondering what happened!
Gradually slipping back to the ’80s
More speedily than gradually heading back to the 1980’s. Mr. DiBlasio has been a disaster.
NYC needs a city manager and not a mayor, and certainly not the guy occupying Gracie Mansion now.
