March 1, 2012 Weather: Morning Showers, High of 43 Degrees.

Notices:
Received the following in our inbox from a female Upper West Sider who wishes to remain anonymous: “On Tuesday night at 10:45 pm I was walking and talking on my phone on 97th street between Columbus and Central Park West. I was then pushed down by 2 teenagers, 1 in a black hooded sweatshirt and 1 in a gray hooded sweatshirt. They grabbed my iPhone and took off running uptown towards Central Park West. Apparently this is not the first incident in the neighborhood. Just thought that I would give a warning for people to keep their eyes open and phones away.”

There are still tickets available for the PS 84 fundraising concert this Sunday at the New-York Historical Society featuring star songwriter Alan Menken. Get them here and enter the code BROADWAY for a 25% discount.

Also on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Congregation Ohab Zedek at 118 West 95th Street Street is holding a blood drive. Schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome and free bagels will be served.
