The American Museum of Natural History wants your help in naming its massive Mamenchisaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs in the world. Submissions are due by May 25 andn the winner will be announced on June 7.

The long-vacant Metro Theater on 100th and Broadway could become a nonprofit arts center for students (New York Times)

Openings and closings:
A new JackRabbit running store opened on 72nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus late last week.
