A vehicle was consumed by in flames on 84th Street and West End Avenue on Saturday night around 8 p.m., according to a tipster who sent in the photo above. FDNY arrived moments after the photo was taken to extinguish it, the tipster wrote.
The circumstances behind the fire were not clear, and we are still awaiting more information from FDNY.

Was it a year ago, more or less, that there were several car fires in that neighborhood that went unexplained? There was Columbus between 89th and 90th, Amsterdam just below and just above 86th and perhaps two others. Am I alone in noticing them at that time?
