That is great and decent. Neighborly and supportive of our children.
Unlike the the upcoming New Taste of the Upper West Side food festival, where our children’s schoolyard will be taken over to support the Business Improvement. Yikes!
This is sarcasm, right? In case it’s not: The BID supported by the New Taste of the UWS has funded projects including: providing 19 BigBelly solar and pedal-operated trash baskets to combat a rat issue in Theodore Roosevelt Park; providing funding for a Greenhouse Classroom at the O’Shea School; building our sustainable streetscape block between 76th-77th on Columbus Avenue, with trees, seasonal flowers, and even Manhattan’s first bioswale (a water retention system) with a plaque describing how it works; doubling the size of the Columbus Avenue tree guards, to make the avenue greener; and supporting the Wellness in the Schools program for the past ten years at the O’Shea School where the event is held under a grand tent. The school houses The Computer School, The Dual-Language Middle School, and the Anderson Program.

Yes, i am well informed. My children attended two of these schools.
So you WERE being sarcastic? My bad, then.
I wanted to know when this event will end. According to this EventBrite page, the food trucks will close up at 5:30. There is no charge to attend but donations are encouraged.

Great!!
They better clean up our street (West 77th Street) when they finish. It’s filthy with napkins and wrappers, etc. Not fair to those of us who try to keep our neighborhood clean and beautiful.
OMG, crazy lines. Could barely get through the gates. And was not going to wait in 40-person-long lines. The UWS is so ripe for a smorgasberg of its own.
I foolishly attended and waited on those 40 min lines for food with inflated prices that I could’ve gotten from the restaurant instead of the truck (i.e., Saravanaa Bhavan). Not going again.
