Campaign Against Hunger’s ‘Thousand Turkey Challenge’ Begins

The West Side Campaign Against Hunger is aiming to give away at least 1,000 frozen turkeys this year for Thanksgiving.

Last year, 1,392 families got turkeys.

A wide variety religious organizations participate, and there are ways to donate too if you’re not part of one of them. You can bring a turkey (fresh or frozen, but frozen is preferred), donate online, or text a donation. It costs $18 to donate one turkey. Learn more here and below.
