Among the recent crimes reported in the 20th precinct was a whopper of a theft from the Apple store.
On March 22 at 11: 15 am, an unknown male wearing an Apple shirt walked in to the Apple store at 1981 Broadway at 67th street and stole 59 iPhone 6s, worth $44,391. Detectives haven’t released video or details yet, but we’ll update if we get more on this.
A 35-year-old man left his Apple Macbook Pro on his seat at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater (68th street) approximately 7 p.m. on March 20. He came back to find the $3,000 laptop gone. There is no video available from the theatre, nor is the laptop equipped with tracking, police report.
Tiffany, Burberry, Prada, Tory Burch, Versace, Rayban … These are some of the designer sunglass brands reported stolen from the Sunglass Hut at 2218 Broadway (79th) on March 19th. Police say a man walked into the store and removed 13 pairs of sunglasses, valued at $3,560.
An unknown man slipped into a back room at Classic Kids at 395 Amsterdam Avenue (79th) at 1:15 pm on March 12 and stole an employee’s Nikon camera. The camera is valued at $1899, police say.
That’s a lot of luxury goods stolen!
they just leave all of the iphones out? For some reason I thought it was like you bring an emplty box to the clerk and they retrieve the item from the back for you. Not sure why they wouldn’t do it like this. Also, how the hell did he physically carry 59 boxes out without being stopped? bizarre.
And the guy who left his computer on the seat in a theater unattended is not very bright. talk about clueless
