Police released the video below of the man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a 36-year-old woman in her apartment on 105th street just off of Central Park West on Friday. The man is described as black, “clean shaven, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall and roughly 200 pounds.”

Surely there must be better video! This perp is walking with a bag of some sort, which means he bought something – possibly near-by. The 2-4 should be scouring every bodega and business surveilance camera for a better mug shot. Should a better picture arise, please post up.

Honest Question: how come the descriptions no longer mention the race of the perpetrator?
Surely this is relevant – more so then clothes, which change.
Also, another honest question – Big Brother aside, isn’t it time for the City of New York (NYPD) to install cameras on the streets, rather then relying on private landlords and store owners for their videos (really computer storage) ? This comes to light to me as others posted it was the Landlord’s (the co-op) fault and liability for having a broken camera.
I know the city has cameras on 104th & Columbus and 103th & Amsterdam. What those cameras show, I don’t know. For all I know they could be dummy cameras.
I’m sure that information is omitted due to political correctness.

Not a bad video from an investigator’s standpoint. That’s a pretty distinctive shirt, which combined with the hat and physical traits should produce a suspect. Unless the “community” decides not to snitch!
Everyone be careful, it’s been getting a little dicey these days. With everything happening in the past few months, be alert and aware whenever walking at night around there.
Less dicey than 20,30 years ago!! Always be aware and alert in the city. In any neighborhood regardless of condition of area!! It’s called Street Smarts!
