TV IN REAL LIFE: SEINFELD, GEORGE, LARRY DAVID SPOTTED AT TOM’S RESTAURANT

See those two nondescript guys on left side of the photo?

Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander (aka George Costanza) were spotted on Monday walking casually into Tom’s Restaurant, the diner that was their main hang-out spot on Seinfeld. Larry David was also spotted later walking out, and can be seen in the brief video clip below.

The interior shots of Tom’s on Seinfeld were actually shot in Los Angeles, but on Monday the trio apparently did some filming inside the real Tom’s. Gothamist reported that the restaurant was emptied and video cameras were brought in; a box near the site said “Comedians,” indicating that the shooting was part of Seinfeld’s Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee series, where comedians are filmed chatting while driving and drinking (coffee).

Seinfeld and Larry David are also working on a top-secret project, that some speculate is a Broadway play. Am I the only one who wishes Seinfeld would come back?

Thanks to Ali Phil for the photo.

I’m becoming more and more a fan of the Michael J. Fox show, which uses a lot of location shots around the neighborhood. The two female leads had a nice shot catty corner with Calhoun in the background in a recent episode.
