Grace & St. Paul’s Church at 123 West 71st Street (between Broadway & Columbus) is hosting a very unique service this Saturday at 5 p.m. In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the church will open its doors to all sorts of animals — and its flyer notes that “Animals of all faiths and none are welcome.” St. Francis was known to care for animals. The offering on Saturday will go to the Toby Project.
I’ve heard that in the past there is singing and someone reads a story about animals. If you go, send us a picture! Below is a shot from the church’s facebook page.
“Animals of all faiths and none are welcome.”
So the animals really aren’t welcome?
Where’s my copy of “Eats, Shoots & Leaves?”
