An online fundraiser for Sameh Bules, the food cart vendor on 86th Street who was stabbed earlier this month, is nearing its $10,000 goal thanks to donations from dozens of people, including one person who gave $5,000. As of Friday morning, it had raised $7,410.
Bules is laid up at home after his kidney was punctured in the stabbing on Jan. 3. The food cart vendor typically wakes up at 1 a.m. for his trek to work from Staten Island so he can be there for Upper West Siders headed to their jobs. He has two children.
