A 25-year-old man was arrested on Friday and charged with trying to lure three girls into his car when it was parked across from West Prep Academy on Columbus Avenue and 105th street on Friday morning around 8:30 a.m.

“He tried to get the girls into his vehicle offering money to watch him play with himself,” a parent of one of the girls told us. The parent said the girls were between 11 and 14 years old.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office said Nnamdi Ihim, a 25-year-old man was sitting in a red car across from West Prep Academy when he called over to three girls.

“Why don’t you get in the car with me? I will give you $250 to watch me jerk off,” he said, according to one of the girls who was quoted in the complaint.

Ihim has been charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and three counts of Attempted Luring a Child.

Disagreement is expected—even encouraged—but it must be expressed with care and consideration. Comments that take cheap shots, escalate conflict, or veer into ideological warfare detract from the constructive spirit we aim to cultivate.
