Apparently Upper West Siders enjoy hairlessness and pain.
The European Waxing Center is set to open two new waxing centers in the neighborhood, Winick Realty Group announced.
The short-lived Cardinal Camera store at Broadway and 88th will soon become a wax-atorium. And another location will open at 805 Columbus Avenue in the Columbus Square development.
There’s already a European Wax Center on 75th and Columbus.
So much for the stereotype that Europeans like to go au naturel…
You can’t be too smooth or too rich.
Ken I guess that means I prefer poor women
Not too long ago, the UWS had bookstores and various authentic retail shops ….now it is a landscape of nail/spa/waxing salons and chain stores.
Scary.
Hey now! Don’t forget the plethora of fine fro-yo institutions.
Although, I have been seeing a lot of these places go out of business lately.
Hey!! Folks!! The rich yuppies that are now inhabiting the UWS and living in places that rent for $13,000/mo. like the new building on 77th and Broadway need a high-end waxing salon within walking distance.
They have to look good to party at all the new bars on the UWS along Columbus and along Broadway, i.e., the Beacon’s Bar, the On the Avenue’s bar and the new bar at the Belleclaire (you know — that place that used to be big Nick’s).
Nobody wants to be seen looking ungroomed when they are drinking one of those UWS cocktails at $18 a pop.
