Notices:
The folks at the Central Park Conservancy gave us permission to post the photo above. It was accompanied by this little poem: “Rain on yellow leaves / blue stone path, bright tiny lakes / fall in Central Park”

The work-from-home meetup held by William Anderson at Dead Poet Bar yesterday was a success and will now likely become a monthly thing, he tells us. Join up!

News:
The 72nd Street connection to the West Side Highway will finally open this weekend after more than a year of delays. People living on Riverside Boulevard, home to the Trump Place luxury homes and towers built by the Extell developers, are worried about the traffic that could spill onto the street. (DNAinfo)

420 Bar on Amsterdam and 80th Street was closed by the city for “operating without a permit.” Also, neighbors seem to hate that place. (MyUpperWest)

Brokers take too much credit in New York for selling apartments. (Malcolm Carter)

The Occupy Wall Street protesters are now targeting Danny Meyer, because he’s on the board of Sotheby’s, where there is a tense labor negotiation going on. “We will be here to make sure Danny Meyer is uncomfortable and anyone who supports him is uncomfortable…His restaurants will not be peaceful.” Please, leave Shake Shack alone! Some of us 99%ers eat dinner there. (Eater)

The buildings at 14 and 16 West 76th Street have not had gas or heat since August. (Fox)

Starbucks is debuting a new extra-light coffee, called the Blonde Roast, for all you weak coffee drinkers!
