Disco Skate at Gottesman Ice Rink: Friday, December 26th, 5 to 9 p.m., at The Davis Center in Central Park at the Harlem Meer; tickets start at $5.

Disco-style attire is encouraged for this festive Friday-night skate in the northern reaches of Central Park at the brand-new Gottesman Rink. Jamal Reid (aka DJ Trauma, and now using the brand name Traumatics) will be on hand and at the musical controls. Skate rentals and skate aids are available for $10 each. Gottesman Rink will also host a New Year’s Eve party from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on December 31st, and a New Year’s Day celebration on January 1st from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

Visit Columbus Circle Holiday Market: Central Park at West 59th Street; Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Last chance! Christmas may be over, but the city’s holiday markets are here for just a little while longer. The UWS is home to the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, which closes on December 31st. Food and drinks are available along with a variety of merch. Post your favorite stalls in the comments!

“Goya and the Age of Revolution” at the Hispanic Society: 3741 Broadway between West 155th and 156th streets; Thursday to Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. (closed Monday to Wednesday); tickets start at $5.

Spanish Romantic painter Francisco Goya was deeply affected by the American and French Revolutions, and the Peninsular War in Spain. To mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, the Hispanic Society is presenting works by Goya and his circle that are connected to revolution and independence – from the horrors of battle to the promises of freedom and equality. A rotating selection of prints from Goya’s powerful “Disasters of War” will also be on view.
