Since 1976, DOROT has enriched the lives of the Upper West Side’s older community members.
Unfortunately, our elderly neighbors have become increasingly isolated in New York. At DOROT, our mission is to alleviate that social isolation by bringing generations together to enrich each other’s lives. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
The single best way to ensure that our older community members get the support they need is to volunteer to be a friendly visitor. DOROT’s Friendly Visitor Program matches caring volunteers with elderly community members in need of companionship.
