Have the police tried staking out the branch that this a*hole has hit several times? Or perhaps the couple of other ones, seeing as he likes to return to the scene of the crime?

Also, has Bank of America finally stationed any extra security after hours at that branch, seeing as it was hit 3 times? Now I know my paranoia while using an isolated, empty ATM outpost is not unfounded.

They’re complaining that they have to follow this Constituion thingy. They are really upset. And the Mayor is in Iowa or somewhere. Robberies of humans ar ATMs just aren’t very exciting.

Three of these occurred at B of A at 835 8th. Has it occurred to the bank that they should post an armed security guard there?? If I was the 3rd victim there, I would consider bringing a negligence suit against them.

Thank you very much for posting these reports. I had something very similar occur to me decades ago. Young and financially strapped, I was assaulted and robbed in an UWS branch of Chase. It was very early in the morning. Since then, I’ve never gone into an empty ATM lobby, but I hate the lack of security.

This can be discussed at your local monthly precinct meeting so you know what will be, and not will be done. Using ATMs when it’s DARK (the word ‘night’ is too vague) or when no one’s about, is evidently a high risk time slot. Morning seems to be the safest time. I HATE using ATMs. I feel slightly safer using the one, say, in the CVS. I was spooked once at an outdoor ATM when a woman kept walking back and forth when I was beginning my transaction – not like she was waiting – it made me suspicious. I left briskly and immediately sought out a group of people to walk with. Some possible workarounds – using a debit card at a 24 hour place. Until we know there is proper supervision of ATM machines, we have to assume the worst. I got a little spooked once at an ATM – a woman kept walking by me while I was starting a transaction. I just grabbed everything and walked quickly away, seeking to blend in with a group of people.

Thanks to West Side Rag for giving us a heads up –

Bank of America gets hit 3 times in same location? Shame on them. They can afford a 24 hour security person.

What a shame. Bank of America needs to provide extra security immediately!

How about a full and complete description of the suspect? Or is that racist? Why do liberals ignore the reality of which groups commit almost ALL the crime in NYC? Why?

There was a security guard at the Bank of America on Broadway & 80th St. when I used the ATM about a week or so ago. I was surprised to see him there, now I know why.

As if I needed another reason to never bank with Bank of America!

Fucking schmucks should have security posted there, as so many before me have said.

I was walking after dusk on B’dway & 60th, across from the Time/Warner Bldg. A large man who looked a lot like this appeared quickly from my left and deliberately rammed me, nearly knocking me down (I am 70 years old and do not need a broken hip). At the same instant he threatened: “Get the f–k out of my way!” and kept going across the intersection. The exact thing, same time, same location, happened to a young Asian friend a year before, except he said to her, “Get out of my way, Chink.” Maybe these are unrelated, but they are incidents that can result in major injury. I think small women need to be warned. (Please don’t publish my last name.)

I see one of the robberies was at west 63rd street, very dark under scaffold at that’s bank location. The park across the street is home to about a dozen people and others nefarious individuals seem to be lurking about when I am heading out to work at 5 am. I have to agree with other poster that I have never seen police in this area unless a parade or other big event is in the area. I assume our liberal mayor assumes the Lincoln center rich have their own security.

That’s it! Blame the liberal! You all could afford your own private security if you really feel like the NYPD isn’t doing their job. Do you think it’s because they’re mad that they made their own bed and now have to lie in it? All they had to do was obey the constitution and follow proper protocol and maybe De Blasio wouldn’t be mayor. I’m glad he is, New York is a lot more like New York these days.

Remember when there was no crime under the previous mayor? Those were the days, weren’t they? It’s amazing how the election of a Democrat has meant muggers are on the loose again. If we had known, we could have asked Mayor Bloomberg to bribe the city council to get himself a fourth term. And please don’t confuse me with the facts about crime under Bloomberg: I know that all was at peace and that all criminals had fled the city, just waiting for their chance under a liberal.

Of course this wimp targets women. It is amazing how weak he must be to not only rob women but punch them in the face? I’m a woman and I am taller than this man and probably stronger if he only weighs 180 lbs. That makes me think he has lived a life of being a little man in both stature and success.
