Multi-talented Amy Schumer, actress/comedian of stage, screen, TV and stand-up (and second cousin to U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer) is in contract to sell her luxury penthouse condo apartment at 190 Riverside Drive, for $13 million, $2 million under the asking price, according to the Wall Street Journal. The property had been on the market for over 300 days, listed by Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group.

Built in 1911, this stately 12-story Beaux-Arts building is perched on a quiet corner at 91st Street and Riverside Drive. The buyer is Oscar-winning composer and lyricist Benjamin Pasek, best known for his works, The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, and La La Land, according to the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal.
The 4,500 square-foot condo spans the entire floor of the building, containing 14 rooms, with 5 bedroom, 5 ½ baths. The living space is bathed in light, appointed with folding glass walls and skylights that open to a 3,000 square-foot landscaped terrace on two levels that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Riverside Park, the Hudson River, the George Washington Bridge and the city skyline.
A key-locked elevator opens into the solarium style living room with a stone and glass fireplace. Off the living room, there is a media room, and a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar, offering top-of-the-line finishes and appliances. The bedrooms are all located in a separate wing, each with its own ensuite spa-like bathroom and abundant closet space. Other amenities include a 24-hour doorman, bike space and a deeded garage space. Interior photos are available on the StreetEasy listing.
Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer are leaving the borough for Brooklyn, having reportedly bought the iconic “Moonstruck” townhouse on Cranberry St. in Brooklyn Heights — a 19th century, 26-foot-wide home for $12.5 million ($1.5 million over ask) last year.

She’s been an UWSer for many years (even before she got this apartment). Sad to lose her to Brooklyn Heights…
And we’re “sad” because…?
Maybe she too is escaping the increased UWS crime.
It’s amazing to me that she and her husband left this place to go quarantine in that dinky cottage on the cape during the pandemic. Of all NYC spaces to leave for greener pastures, sheesh…
Breathtaking, but it’s almost too much space.
Wow, would that I had $13m and a jump start on this. That is an incredible apartment.
People complain about business people being overpaid…if she can afford this place, it shows that “celebrities” are ridiculously overpaid. Unlike corporate execs who are responsible to their employees, shareholders and regulators, these people have no responsibilities other than to enrich themselves. They frequently show their arrogance and disdain for us common folks by pontificating/lecturing the public on things they no nothing about.
The idea that Schumer does not employ anyone or contribute to the employment for literally hundreds of film and theater professionals and staff is laughable at best.
