A person was hit by a train on the 2/3 line at 96th Street on Saturday morning, according to police. The victim was considered “likely to die,” according to a spokesman.

“Witnesses say the victim jumped in front of the train,” the spokesman said.

Trains were diverted from the area while emergency workers were on the scene.

1, 2, and 3 trains have resumed regular service after emergency crews assisted a person who was struck by a train at 96 St.

Continue to expect delays as we get trains back on schedule and consider alternative service. See alternatives at https://t.co/EyOa8lGFu7 https://t.co/TdWXhUFKfD
