Noi Due is opening a new restaurant in the former home of Le Petit Rooster at 491 Columbus Avenue near 84th Street. Noi Due, a Kosher restaurant, has two other locations in the neighborhood — Noi Due Cafe (dairy) at 143 West 69th Street and Noi Due Carne (meat) next door at 141 West 69th. Management of Noi Due is not ready to reveal their plans, but papers filed with the Landmarks Preservation Commission show the restaurant plans to install gas fryers, a pizza oven and a pasta cooker. Thanks to Upper West Sider for the tip and Danny Daly for the photo.
Chinese restaurant Hunan Park has moved to 610 Amsterdam Avenue between 89th and 90th Street from its former location at 721 Columbus Avenue at 95th. Thanks to Judith for the tip.
Lululemon has opened its doors at its new store at Broadway and 115th Street. Thanks to Roadskater for the photo.
I was sad when Hunan Park shut down, but now it will be CLOSER to my office! Hurray for any scrap of good news in 2020.
The food is delicious and they offer a very varied menu. Recommended!!
I liked Le Petit Rooster. 🙁
I wanted them to succeed but they couldn’t overcome some of the pitfalls that were supposed to be addressed after their short soft opening. Their bar staff was a little bit stiff too for a neighborhood restaurant.
What is Hunan Park replacing?
Also. Pretty sure “jot ready” should be “not ready.”
Great wall which was same as Spice. Quick Chinese takeout that was actually really good
It says Spice on the window.
“Jot ready” is the new “Not ready.”
Fixed 🙂
We are thrilled to see Noi Due returning to the UWS. Excellent coffee, soups and bourekas.
Re: “Noi Due Cafe (dairy) … and Noi Due Carne (meat) next door”
Or, as many of our Yiddish-Speaking grandparents might have said: ‘Noi Due Milkhik’…and ‘Noi Due Fleyshik.
Hope I haven’t “Anoidue”
Hope the Hunan Park food is better than it sank to at 95th. Last time I ordered there about 2 years ago it was inedible.
Bought 3 dishes & all were not too good & at least $3 to $4 more than their nearby competition.
