A 58-year-old man was shot and killed at the corner of 101st Street and Amsterdam Avenue early Saturday. Police got the call at 12:42 a.m. and found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

An ambulance took the victim to the Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.

The man’s identity had not been released as of Saturday morning pending family notification.

It’s the seventh homicide of the year in the 24th precinct.
