Photo of the Week: Mrs. Maisel Goes to the Polls

How important is voting? Important enough for a TV star to take time off the set to run to the polls.

Actress Rachel Brosnahan was in full character as the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a 1960’s-era housewife-turned-comedian, as she went to the polls at Brandeis High School on 84th Street on Thursday.

Brosnahan was kind enough to pose for the Rag’s Nancy Novick after voting, showing off her I Voted sticker.

As expected, Mrs. Maisel cast a vote for… um Nelson Rockefeller?

Awesome show. Lucky for her they were filming in the neighborhood yesterday – I saw signs on Amsterdam. I guess she lives nearby. Can’t wait for Season 2!

Yup, you do! “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is a hit TV series that airs on Amazon and is set on the UWS during the “Mad Men” era. “Mad Men” was a hit TV show set in NY during “The Dick Van Dyke Show” era. “The Dick Van Dyke Show” was set in NY during the “Love That Bob” era.
There, you’re all caught up.

Strange. Brandeis High School wasn’t opened until 1965.

I think she only went there to vote, not to film.
