73-Year-Old With Alzheimer’s Disease Reported Missing From 62nd Street

A 73-year-old man named Angel Bonet who is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease went missing on Thursday afternoon and police are asking for the public’s help to find him. Bonet left his home at 50 Amsterdam Avenue (61st-62nd Street) around 3:45 p.m. and has not been seen since.

He is Hispanic, about 5’3″ tall and 160 pounds, with brown eyes, grey hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white striped polo style collared shirt, and multicolored orthopedic sneakers. He also has a scar on right wrist that goes up to his forearm.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

You can also call 911, according to another police notice.

All calls are strictly confidential.

Please keep us posted when he is found. I currently have 2 people in my life, 1 with Alzeimers & 1 with Dementia, it’s a terrible disease & very sad to see people you care about loose themselves into the disease. Heartbreaking actually. I hope Angel is found & that he is ok.
