We already have posted lots of great events on our calendar and now we’re hearing about even more fun times on the Upper West Side this weekend. Here are a few bonus events to check out.

Saturday and Sunday: The West Side Community Garden is holding an arts and crafts festival from 10 a,m. to 4:30 p.m., with music, kids’ events and a crafts sale. More here.

Sunday: Ballet Hispanico, the famed dance studio on 89th, is holding a block party on 89th between Columbus and Amsterdam from noon to 4 p.m. “Ballet Hispánico will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with free events, performances, and dance lessons for children and adults. Events include an Instituto Coreográfico, which will feature an inside look at Bennyroyce Royon’s new work, the annual A La Calle Block Party, and a Hispanic Heritage Happy Hour.” More here.

Sunday: Bloomingdale Family Days is kind of like a homegrown block party/events fair stretching from 106th to 110th on Amsterdam on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More here.

Also on Sunday, Sept 16 (1pm-6pm) is the West Side County Fair at Pier 1 in Riverside Park South. It was supposed to occur last Sunday but it rained so this Sunday is the rain date.

And I believe the Columbus Ave Festival (street fair) will occur on Sunday as well from 68th-86th Streets.

There is the potential for a really great street fair
However at present it’s the same old unhealthy
food and Trinkets and junk

Also, the West 104th Street Yard Sale, now in its 24th year will be held on Saturday, 9/29 between West End and Riverside. Come for the music, bargains, and books.
