There are several streets that will be closed off for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which raises money to combat breast cancer. The route goes through Central Park and for a few blocks on Central Park West, but there are closures on several blocks as thousands of people will be in the area.
The closures are listed below, along with a map of the route.
All of Central Park West from between 67th Street and 91st Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there will be no parking on these streets during these times.
The following streets will be closed during the event from 9 am to 10:45 am.
- Central Park West between 68th Street and 90th Street
- 90th Street between Central Park West and West Drive (Inside Central Park)
- West Drive between 90th Street and Center Drive (Central Park South)
- Center Drive between West Drive and East Drive
- East Drive between Center Drive and 72nd Street
- 72nd Street Transverse between East Drive and West Drive
