Police are seeking help finding a man who they say followed a woman into her building on Riverside Drive and 111th Street and assaulted her on Thanksgiving. The NYPD released the description below as well as a surveillance image and video.
It was reported to police that on Thursday November 23, 2017, at approximately 2100 hours, inside of a residential building in the vicinity of 111 Street and Riverside Drive, the individual followed the 60 year-old female victim into her building, placed her in a rear chokehold and slammed her against the wall. The individual then told the victim he was going to cut her. At that moment one of the building’s residents entered the hallway and the individual fled with the victim’s empty key chain wallet; he ran westbound on 111 Street. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The individual is described as a male black, in his 40s; last seen wearing a blue or green jacket, a dark colored knit cap, blue jeans and white sneakers.
