Council Member Helen Rosenthal and Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell are holding toy drives for needy kids this year.

From Rosenthal: “My office is holding our annual holiday toy drive for neighborhood children ages 1-12. Please bring NEW toys, wrapped or unwrapped, to my District Office, located at 563 Columbus Avenue (87th), from Monday – Thursday, 10am-6pm, and Friday, 10am-4pm. Please note the age range and type of gift on the bottom of the package. Thank you for your generosity!” More info here.

From O’Donnell: “I am excited to announce that my office is hosting a Holiday Toy Drive with Hour Children to help bring joy to the kids of incarcerated parents. Hour Children help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children successfully rejoin the community, reunify with their families, and build healthy, independent, and secure lives. To donate, please drop off all toys at my Community Office at 245 W 104th St, Monday-Friday between 10am-5:30pm. All donated toys must be new and unwrapped.”

FWIW, Cathedral Cares, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, is also having its annual toy drive, and donations are down a lot this year. So if it’s just as easy for you to drop off a toy there, please consider it. Thanks.
