Police Looking for Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 11-Year-Old Girl on the 2 Train

Police sent the sketch above and the following description of a sexual assault on the 2 train about a week ago.

It was reported to the police that on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1100 hours the victim, an 11-year old female was on a southbound “2” train with the individual. As the train entered the Broadway and West 79 Street subway station the victim stood up to exit the train, the individual did touch her groin with his hand. The individual remained on the train to parts unknown.

The individual is a male, Hispanic, medium complexion, 30-years of age, medium build, 5’5″, 170 lbs., last seen wearing blue jeans, tan hat and black shoes.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

Gee, just like the old days, when I grew up on the Upper West Side. Some things never change. This crap happened to me too many times in the 70s.

Exactly, and nothing has ever been done to stop it, and these pigs, I mean ‘individuals,’ know they can get away with it.

I believe that there should be a public campaign encouraging victims to speak out in a loud voice at the time of molestation or other criminal act–publicly identifying both the perpetrator and the act itself. Potentially this would encourage the taking of photos of the perpetrator by bystanders so that he/she could later be apprehended.
