Star Wars fans can see four of the movies this fall with a full orchestra playing John Williams’ famous scores.
The New York Philharmonic will play the scores on eight nights in September and October at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. Tickets for A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back are already sold out, according to Broadway World.
Tickets cost $70 to $175 and are available at the NY Philharmonic website.
There’s also a free talk by conductor David Newman about the scores at the David Rubenstein Atrium on Tuesday, September 12, according to Broadway World.
David Newman is another member of the prolific Newman family. Randy Newman, cousin Thomas Newman, patriarch Alfred Newman from about 50 yrs ago. What an amazingly talented family. This should be a great opportunity to hear from a member of that family.
