Police are now offering a $2,500 reward for information related to the killing of Special Anthony Stewart in front of a restaurant on the corner of 95th Street and Broadway last Thursday. Stewart, 24, was stabbed to death and police have released videos of a suspect in the case.

People have been placing flowers, candles and other items at the site.

this is when I believe in swift capital punishment. When this suspect is found they should immediately pull the lever. There is no place in society for cold blooded killers

I agree – when this cold blooded killer is found just pull the plug on him. Don’t waste tax dollars keeping him alive in prison.
Our condolences to the family who have had to suffer from this needless loss.

I will gladly pay extra taxes to watch him rot in a cell, death penalty is the easy way out.

I find it hard to believe that with all the video (and some of it very clear) that no one has been able to identify the perp.

This tragic incident is a reminder that life can turn, can end in an instant. We may never know why this young man was killed but we do know how fragile life is. As cynical as the WSR audience can be perhaps on a beautiful spring day such as this we should just take a minute to marvel at the beauty of just being alive, a blue sky and a warm sun.

Wishing everyone a safe and season of warmth, scaffolding and road repair.

OMG. I almost made it without sarcasm or cynicism but I am a weak vessel…

You did a great job! We all share in your sentiments – eloquently said. It’s good to be reminded how vulnerable we are outside of our homes…
