Along 5th Ave. in Manhattan, a Dispute Over Where East and West Begin

The idea that the west side of Fifth Avenue is, technically, the West Side of Manhattan, calls into question some of the basic spatial assumptions of the city’s geography. Central Park, for instance, could be entirely claimed for the Upper West Side, something that Upper East Side residents are unlikely to accept without a fight.

Please be mindful that the waters around us are not that great for your pups. I’m not a spoil sport however lots of cases of leptospirosis breaking out. They are technically not permitted in Central Park ponds and lakes but I’m more concerned for their health.

What of Box Turtles ? Remember the ad for someone to walk a Turtle ?/Tortoise, recently ? Haven’t eaten Turtle Soup for years ! Which small, green Turtles aren’t s’posed to be sold in Pet Shops in U.S.A. ?
