The Thursday fire in a garage on 108th street that destroyed two ambulances used by a volunteer rescue service in Central Park, as well as several other vehicles, is now being considered “suspicious” and is under investigation by the fire marshal, according to NYPD. The investigation may take several weeks to be completed.
The Central Park Medical Unit had already raised about $39,000 as of Sunday to replace the lost ambulances at cpmu.com.
