We’ve received some evocative images today, the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Dancers from Buglisi Dance Theatre perform an early-morning dance in Lincoln Center’s main plaza. Photo by Harriet Flehinger. “Interesting that absolutely no one left as the dancers made a very slow exit over several minutes. All was silent and no motion in the audience. About 100 dancers, 5 instruments and 4 singers chanting through megaphones. Very moving.”

Check out our post from last year about 12 firefighters from a local firehouse who died on September 11, 2001.
Nice photos. But what’s with that 78th Street flag? 37 stars? Would like to know more about that.
Great point! That flag only flew from 1867-1877 apparently…

and – um – isn’t the flag on W78 backwards as well?
