An apartment that recently hit the market at the Beresford on Central Park West and 81st street offers apartment-buyers an added bonus: they can negotiate to buy the vast collection of taxidermy hanging from the walls. The apartment is owned by author and socialite Gregory Speck, who once dreamed of owning a zoo, the Times says. The online listing includes photos of the rooms with and without the animal kingdom. Check out a few below, and the rest at the Halstead site. The asking price (without the animals) is $3.395 million.
The City should buy it and use it to shelter the homeless.
Poor animals…shameful and disgusting. Hunting, what a cruel sport!
wow, not my cup of tea….
but, to each his own..
Also, lets remember that with the Beresford, The San Remo, Century, Dakota, and others, the rich have been a part of the UWS since the beginning.
I am not one of them unfortunately, but I do not demonize them either.
And the award for the guy with the biggest chip on his shoulder ever goes to…
no chip Beezer .. just don’t like the lefty loons hijacking the conversation.
oh and i left out my favorite – the Majestic.
maybe someday I will get to go inside, but I sure do love the outside.
no hate here..
can’t say the same for others…
Why doesn’t he just donate them to the AMNH across the street?
Clearly money does not buy good taste.
Tacky and gross; certainly nothing to be proud of.
Animals aside, that seemed like a reasonable price, until you get the hints that the whole place will need a massive reno.
Was I the only person to read, Mr. Speck wanted to own a zoo? How ironic.
I would have nightmares!
Horrendous…
