UPPER WEST SIDE SPANDEX ALERT! LULU OPENS, IVIVVA COMING FRIDAY

September 5, 2012 | 6:03 PM
in NEWS, OPEN/CLOSED
1

The Upper West Side seemingly can’t have enough yoga and workout clothes.

After months of plywood, lululemon has finally opened its store on the corner of 75th Street and Broadway.  Lululemon already has an outpost on 64th and Broadway.

And lululemon is also working to get the next generation hooked on its “activewear.” The company is opening its first New York City branch of  ivivva athletica at 215 West 83rd Street, next to the salon that replaced Edgar’s Cafe Cafe Lalo. The chain sells “dancewear ad activewear for girls.” Ivivva holds its grand opening on Friday, and promises “music, fun and surprises.” RSVP on their facebook page for a “VIP pass.”

Thanks to Malcolm Carter and Al Isak for the tips, and Malcolm for the photo.

Correction: salon that replaced edgar’s cafe is on 84th between broadway and west end. Ivivva is on 83rd between broadway and amsterdam, next door to Cafe Lalo.
