When you live a life consisting of waving and smiling at people, you’d better look good. And Princess Kate Middleton has achieved that goal. One of her go-to stores has just opened on the Upper West Side, allowing women who have not yet found their princes to nonetheless look royal.
L.K. Bennett has opened on the second floor of the Time Warner Center. It sells women’s clothes and shoes that English people would probably call “posh” (the dress above costs $275). Or as Racked’s Izzy Grinspan wrote: “Basically, this is where to shop if you’re looking to impress the world’s most imposing in-laws.” It’s the company’s first New York store and it takes up about 2,100 square feet. For more photos check out Racked, which gave us permission to publish the photo above by Anna Fischer.
The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District also sends word that soap and body product Sabon is opening a new location on Broadway between 60th and 61st Street. The exact date is unknown.
And the BID hints that another unnamed Upper West Side candy shop is on the way: “We also hear there’s something “sweet” coming soon to Lincoln Square… stay tuned!”
As an expatriot Englishman here on the UWS, one would hate to appear pedantic, but the correct title for “Princess Kate Middleton” is “Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.”
She gave up her maiden name when she got married.
