A fire that broke out Tuesday night on 94th Street and Amsterdam Avenue injured three people, and took firefighters more than two hours to put out. The fire started on a third floor balcony at 711 Amsterdam Avenue and was called in at 6:33 p.m. About 60 firefighters showed up, and the blaze was under control by 8:49 p.m., the FDNY told us. One firefighter and two other men were taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries. It’s unclear what caused the fire.
