News:
Ben Newhouse, a 12-year-old at the Anderson School, got Shake Shack on West 77th Street to give students at the school a $5 lunch special (hamburger or cheeseburger and fries). Star restaurateur Danny Meyer likes the idea so much, he’s considering offering it at other locations. (Eater)
H&H Bagels is supposedly gearing up for a comeback, and owner Helmer Toro wants to open a new Upper West Side store. The New-York Historical Society is planning to showcase Hitler’s silverware as part of an exhibition starting in May. (ArtInfo)
Troubled Mexican restaurant Papasito, which has been charged with selling alcohol to minors, has resubmitted its liquor license application after recently pulling the application. (Columbia Spectator)

As the meatpacking district’s commercial real estate market fizzles, Columbus Avenue is on the way up, and there are very few vacancies. (Crain’s)
Elia Hair Salon on Amsterdam and 101st Street gives 10% of profits to local public schools schools. (Columbia Spectator)
