December 5, 2011 Weather: Cloudy, High of 59 Degrees.

Notices:
We’ve posted a week’s worth of events on our calendar, including lots of free and cheap music, readings and theater.

Gale Brewer wants Upper West Siders to know that she’s sorry people got locked out of the Upper West Side Town Hall meeting a couple of weeks ago, and she pledges to hold the meeting in a bigger space next year.

News:
Two unidentified men were shot outside of 120 West 94th Street around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night — one in the leg (or the arm, according to one report) and one in the stomach. Both were taken in stable condition to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. As of this morning, police hadn’t arrested anyone and they didn’t know the motive. (DNAinfo and WPIX)

Another carriage horse apparently collapsed over the weekend on Central Park South. That’s at least the third this year. Here’s a video.

The pedestrian who got sued by a bicyclist who hit her in Central Park, is now suing the bicyclist for hitting her. (NY Post)

A law that makes musicians play at least 50 feet from monuments is now being enforced with a vengeance. (Gothamist)
