A man has been groping women on the Upper East Side for 10 months now, and it appears he may have moved his attacks across town. On Friday night, a 28-year-old woman reported being groped at 66th Street just off Central Park West inside the park, and the man who did it matches the description of the suspect in the East Side gropings.
The woman told police that the man approached her from behind, started up a conservation with her and then began to touch her. She had to kick and punch him to get him off of her. She then went to the hospital, where she was treated and released.
The groper is suspected to have committed 10 assaults and they were all on the Upper East Side, until now.
The person police suspect in the crimes, pictured above, is a Hispanic male with spike hair who is just under 5-feet tall. If you know anything about the incidents, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
